Acidul Vanil Mandelic este un produs de metabolism al epinefrinei. Valori normale sub 9 mg/24 ore. Este crescut in feocromocitom, neuroblastom, ganglioblastom.

Poate fi de asemenea crescut in starile de inanitie sau dupa ingestie de ceai, cafea, cacao, banane, sucuri de fructe, branza etc.
